Howdy,
I hear that there will be a night practice at Rio Salado Sportsman's Club on Wednesday, Sept. 21, for the Cowboy Fast Draw Division at Pistol Bay #1. Set up is at 5:00 PM with practice continuing until 7:30-ish.
There is a fee of $3.00 for RSSC members and $5.00 for non-members.
This is great news! The only practice a lot of us get is only during our matches. This will help make us much better competitors, for sure.
The one thing I would add is this: "Practice the way you compete." Wearing shoes/boots other than the ones you compete in will probably change your aim.
Also, this would be a great opportunity to train on running the timer/announcing station and, maybe, Range Officer training in the future if Wednesday night practice becomes a regularly scheduled event?
I'll be there!

Re: Wednesday Night Practice at Rio
Yes Sir
You hear correct Longeye. Hopefully we can make this a monthly shoot. It will depend on Rio's event calendar, it will be kind of spotty until the first of next year. Hopefully we get a good turn out. Remember this is just an informal practice, but all rules will still apply. Like Longeye said, wear the proper attire and make sure you have your eye protection.
We will probably use only 4 targets unless we have a large turn out. We will take turns shooting 5 shots a time. We won't be keeping track of scores so there won't be any Xs per say.
Hope to see you all out there.
