Hi all just wanted to let folks know that we are working on a CFDA club in Sparks Ne. Sparks is located about 20 Mi. East of the Heart City Of Valentine on hwy20, Sparks is a very small village with a general store PO and cafe in the summer months. Sparks is known as the canoe capitol of Ne. as it is only 5 mi. from the beautiful Niobrara river, you can rent a canoe or tube to take a trip down the river. Sparks was established about 125 years ago so saw its share of the "Old West". We started shooting in Jan. with the help of the Powderhorn Ranch Regulators, Quick Cal, & CFDA. There is a plan in the works for a fund raising shoot maybe in early June will post more on this later. Hope to see you all in Sparks someday.

Dusty we are just gitting started but we are shooting on Wednesday evenings every week. We don't have any contests scheduled yet but hope to have a fund raising shoot maybe in June. I will post on this forum as things happen. We would love to have you come shoot with us, that goes for everyone.

Hopefully you can make it down to our Shortgrass Showdown this year in Phillipsburg. It is the first weekend in June. Hope this doesnt interfere with your plans. Would like to shoot with ya again!

Hey there Kansas LawDawg we sure are gonna try to make it down this year, been a loooong winter and I'm ready for spring, shootin,green grass, and did I mention shootin!! Don't know when we will have a shoot in Sparks, hoping sometime this spring.

We had a meeting in Sparks and decided to try our first shoot on the 2nd & 3rd of July. This will be our first contest in Nebraska, will be a fund raiser and membership drive for Sparks Cowboy Fast Draw. We are planning a 21' contest on Sat. and maybe a blast for prizes or something on Sun. we will post the info when we git it all sorted out. On the 4th the local tube and canoe outfitter wil have tubes or canes available to float the beautiful Niobrara river, come on out to SPARKS and celebrate the 4th.
